Airing from 2004 to 2009, Showtime's The L Word was a groundbreaking piece of LGBT television. Obviously, Mr. Man is all about the G, but the show was comp-L-ing enough that even he was hooked on its tales of Lesbian love and heartbreak! Following the lives, loves, and leer-intensive loin-doings of a gaggle of girls who do girls, a huge inspiration for the show's creator was how small the lesbian community really is. Jenny Schecter (Mia Kirshner) is a seemingly straight woman living with her boyfriend (Eric Mabius), right next door to a longtime lesbian couple (Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman). After spending some time with them, she meets all their lesbian friends, and starts feeling a tingle in her lady parts for a woman named Marina (Karina Lombard). As she struggles with her sexuality, viewers follow all the tribbing-ulations and triumphs of the lesbian crowd she's introduced to. A big part of the show was "the chart," a giant map showing how many of these ladies have hooked up with each other. And while, as you'd expect, the Sapphic sex scenes were off the chart awesome, there was actually a decent amount of dudity. Brave stud Dominic Zamprogna flashes dong during a skinny dip, as well as ass while filming a movie sex scene. How meta! The gorgeous Eric Mabius offers up plenty a view of his round rump in all sorts of sexy situations, while poor Brendan Penny's only skin scene involves him being kicked out of a trailer with nothing but a crumpled pair of jeans to hide his cock. Antonio Cupo's a young stallion smart enough to abandon a threesome when he realizes the women are trying to get him to knock them up! But not before we saw his seat meat. He wasn't trapped, and we still fapped! Talk about a skin win-win! There was one gay man scene, on the show, though. Jon Wolfe Nelson shows his ass, too, while boning a very feminine looking man. We're all queer here, so we can appreciate that this show about lesbos still let us have some boner material! The only L Word to describe Mr. Man's opinion of those fellas is Lust!
