Lucky Winners (2024)

The French comedy Heureux Gagnants, or Lucky Winners (2024), looks at the dark side of winning the lottery. The common perception is that winning the lottery will solve all of your problems overnight, when instead it just makes your life complicated in a whole new way. The film follows five lucky winners of an enormous national lottery, and how they think that this windfall of cash is going to be the answer to all of their problems. It seems the Biggie Smalls classic "Mo Money Mo Problems" never made its way to France because a whole new set of problems arise from the sudden arrival of more money than any of them have ever seen in their lives. One of the winners, played by Pauline Clément, sneaks out on a passed out Victor Meutelet, who is face down ass up in bed... that's the way we like 'em!
