A year after her husband has passed, Cathy (Lesley Manville) is still trying to pick up the pieces in the new series Mum. But each attempt finds her personal life more and more complicated. But that doesn't mean there isn't any hope to her ever getting hot and heavy again. Sam Swainsbury makes an appearance as her new romantic interest, Jason. And she's got a perfectly good reason.
