Nothing Bad Can Happen (2013)

The German thriller Nothing Bad Can Happen (2013) follows Tore (Julius Feldmeier), a naïve and meandering teenager who is just trying to find his place in the world. The lost soul eventually falls in with a group of Jesus freaks, a punky, come-as-you-are kind of Christian sect that hangout in a rundown house in Hamburg. While trying to find himself, the gullible guy has a chance encounter with Benno (Sascha Alexander Gersak), a seemingly charming family man that impresses Tore so much that he thinks was heaven sent. Smitten with Benno, Tore eventually switches alliances and slowly moves away from his punk buddies to go stay with his new surrogate family. But something smells rotten at the Benno household—his supposed Godsend turns out to have an issue with anger, and he often expresses some disturbing and intimate behavior towards his teenage tomboy daughter, Sanny (Swantje Kohlhof). To make matters worse, Benno begins to express contempt towards Tore’s religious views. It’s only a matter of time before everything comes to a head, leading to a shocking and disturbing conclusion. One thing that we know for sure is that Julius Feldmeier is far from disturbing. In fact, he’s downright sexy. Between all the religious bickering and violent behaviors, Julius manages to show off his shirtless body in four scenes, one of which gives us a look at his pubes. All Mr. Man knows is that Nothing Bad Can Happen when Julius shows some skin!
