On Our Way (2023)

On Our Way (2023) is one of those films about the making of a film and the difficulties many artists face in getting their work to the screen. Henry (Micheál Richardson) has spent the last few years struggling to make a film that is based on his own life with the help of his best friend David (Keith Powers). The two get a lifeline thrown their way when David's adopted father (Paul Ben-Victor) sees some of the footage and agrees to give them the money they need to finish the film. However, he also wants a say in the film's ending, which he feels is grossly uncommercial, but Henry is too preoccupied with a budding romance with his leading lady Rosemary—played by the film's writer and director Sophie Lane Curtis—to notice that the film is no longer his own. While we do come awfully close to seeing leading man Micheál Richardson naked as he sinks into a tub over the film's opening titles, we never get to see the good stuff, but a bonus shirtless scene from zaddy James Badge Dale might still get you On Your Way!
