Spanish cinema wouldn’t be so sexy without the collaboration between filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar and actor Antonio Banderas. Through the years, they’ve treated film (and flesh) fans to Labyrinth of Passion (1982), Matador (1986), Law of Desire (1987), Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990), The Skin I Live In (2011) and I’m So Excited! (2013). Of course, we can’t forget the foreign flick Pain and Glory (2019), not to be confused with the British pic Hope and Glory (1987). Also known as Dolor y gloria, this critically-acclaimed hit follows aging movie director Salvador Mallo (Banderas) whose career seems to be waning. As such, he begins to reflect on his life to see what it’s all about. While remembering his fondest and worst memories, Salvador recalls himself as a youth (Asier Flores) and how he related to his mother (Penélope Cruz), father (Raúl Arévalo), and priest (Agustín Almodóvar) as well as handyman Eduardo (Cesar Vicente). The latter Latino is so hot, he sizzles on camera when he washes his chiseled physique in an outside tub in broad daylight. Rub a dub dub! Check out his muscular back, sculpted ass, bueno balls and perfecto peen. Hail Cesar! The movie also includes Asier Etxeandia, Julián López, Pedro Casablanc, and Antonio’s awesome abs. When Banderas jumps into the pool, he’s sure to make a splash on screen. No wonder he was named Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival and earned a statuette in Mr. Man’s pants!
