We’re mad about Paul Reiser! The sexy NYC based actor most likely came into your life via the breakout sitcom Mad About You, which ran from 1992 to 1999, and was then briefly rebooted in 2019. But Paul was no, one sitcom star. He's been in huge action movies, hilarious comedies, and was named number 77 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest standup comedians of all time. Mad impressive! Originally from New York, Paul did some theater work at Binghamton College before hitting the standup stage. His screen debut was also his breakout role: the sarcastic Baltimore boy Modell in Diner (1982). From there, he was Detective Jeffrey Friedman in Beverly Hills Cop (1994), traitorous Weyland-Yutani Special Projects Director Carter Burke in Aliens (1986), and started out on the sitcom screen as the successful financial advisor Michael Taylor on My Two Dads. Disappointingly, back then having "two dads" didn't mean what it does now, so it's not the kind of show where we find out which pop likes to be on top. 1999 was the year Paul began playing Helen Hunt's husband Paul Buchman on the sitcom that would go on to win four Golden Globe awards, and net both Reiser and Hunt a million bucks an episode at one point in its run. Paul’s career skyrocketed after Mad About You and soon enough he was lusting after Liv Tyler on the big screen in One Night at McCool's (2001). That one showed Paul all tied up while being dominated by a dominatrix. His chest is on display, as are his cheeks in the leather outfit. Give us a minute to cool down! Over the course of his later career, Paul had his own show called The Paul Reiser Show, but really focused on smaller roles like playing Miles Teller's dad in Whiplash (2014), the producer of Cabaret (1972) Cy Feuer in Fosse/Verdon, and Michael Douglas' daughter's much older boyfriend Martin on The Kominskey Method. We’re most thankful that Paul’s star brought him to Amazon's critically acclaimed 1980's set country club drama Red Oaks. Playing Country Club President Doug Getty, watch as Reiser gets steamy with the fellas in a sauna while showing off that hot My Two Dad-bod. These days, Paul's killing it on two of the biggest TV shows going. He's both former Vought International VP of Hero Management "The Legend" on The Boys, and Department of Energy cover-up master Dr. Sam Owens on Stranger Things.
