Perfect Opposites (2004)

If you think you’re too much of a philistine to watch a play, take note of Perfect Opposites (2004). The movie is based on director Matt Cooper’s stage play Heart. Piper Perabo stars as Julie, a young lover who moves from the Midwest to Los Angeles to be with her new boyfriend Drew (Martin Henderson). The cute couple quickly become friends with their quirky neighbors Lenny and Elyse (Artie Lange and Jennifer Tilly), but all is not rainbows and roses in La-La Land. When Drew becomes hypnotized by the wild Hollywood nightlife, the romantic love affair begins to fizzle, ultimately pushing Julie away. Even though Aaron Paul has a small role in the film, he certainly leaves a lasting impression by teasing us with just a brief glimpse of his rump. This romantic drama will simultaneously tug at your heartstrings and your loins.
