Ah, the pheromones are a flying in this one!  Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006) follows the life of a man, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (Ben Whishaw) who happened to be born with a sniffer and olfactory ability that is second to none in the world!  They say that smell is so closely related to sexual attraction that humans can literally smell if someone is compatible to them subconsciously, and with his abilities... Poor Jean-Baptiste is going to always be chasing the essence of the elusive aromas.  It just so happens that the elusive smell he is looking for is only available in "young womenhood" and when the bodies start turning up, the young perfumer might be the one who the townspeople are sniffing out while hunting a killer!  Lucky for the viewers of this underrated period piece, we get a chance to see the shirtless Ben Whishaw on several occasions and he has the uncanny ability to make you think that even though everyone rarely showered in the 18th century, he's still be smelling like roses!
