Rainbow (2022)

As its title might suggest, the Spanish Netflix Original Film Rainbow (2022) is a 21st Century riff on The Wizard of Oz. Dora (Dora Postigo) may be living more than a hundred years after the character of Dorothy was first created, but she finds that many of her teenager problems are similar to those experienced by Oz's heroine. Dora thinks that the root of all of her problems is the absence of her mother, so with her dog Toto in tow, she sets off on a magical journey to find her mother. It isn't long before she's joined by analogs for the Scarecrow, Muñeco (Ayax Pedrosa), the Tin Man, José Luis (Luis Bermejo), and the Cowardly Lion, Akin (Wekaforé Jibril), not to mention that they're being pursued by the villainous Wicked Witch-like Coco (Carmen Maura). While this re-telling isn't exactly family friendly, there isn't any nudity to speak of, though we do get some sexy shirtless action from Ayax Pedrosa and Wekaforé Jibril!
