In Steel (2015) Daniel (Chad Connell) is a television interviewer with anxiety issues that cause him to have a meltdown on camera. Far from possessing nerves of steel, Daniel finds solace in the comfort of his own apartment, where he decides to hide away in order to escape the paralyzing fear he has of the outside world. What could be on Daniel’s mind? Considering that Steel premiered in the U.S. at the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, you can bet your bottom top dollar that Daniel is gay and doesn’t realize it yet. Or at least, he won't admit it. Well, that all changes through a chance meeting with Alexander (David Cameron), a young guy who infiltrates Daniel’s life and shows him how to love, laugh, and penetrate. But did the dreamy teenager Alexander actually accidentally bump into Daniel? In between bouts of cooking with him, asking him about his relationship with his parents, and encouraging him to go for a walk outside, Alexander somehow convinces Daniel to head back to the family farm and confront the past that's led to him being so anxiety ridden. Why's he so committed to reconnecting Daniel with his family?
