Based on a actual events, Kid Cannabis (2014) is the story of Nate (Jonathan Daniel Brown), a pudgy high school dropout who ends up becoming a major figure in the marijuana trafficking industry, until he ends up getting sentenced to over a decade in prison. When the movie kicks off, Nate's struggling in life. He doesn't have a high school degree, he's not all that hot, he lives with his mom (Amanda Tapping) in Idaho, and he works as a pizza boy. But one day he makes a delivery to a dude (Locklyn Munro) in a mansion living the dream. He tells Nate that he makes his money in the weed business, and that the best stuff comes from Canada. If Nate's got the nuts, he could smuggle the good stuff from our neighbor to the North and make tons of cash for himself selling the world's best sticky icky! Sick of life slinging za, Nate goes for it and soon enough him and his friends are making a killing! But as is always the case, it's not long before a rival drug dealer (Aaron Yoo) is hiring hitmen to take out the competition and the morons he's employed are trying to rat him out to the Feds to save their own hides. The film is actually a little bit more loaded with skin than you would expect.
