Taken 3 (2014)

Liam Neeson is back as the throat-punching, ass-kicking ex-CIA operative Bryan Mills in the unnecessary flick Taken 3 (2014). With his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace), living the good life in Los Angeles and expecting a child, Bryan stops by for a surprise visit and to deliver an early b-day gift. What’s even more surprising is that Bryan is looking to reconcile with his ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen), by inviting her to dinner. She turns him down but turns up at his apartment, expressing her martial issues with her current hubby, Stuart (Dougray Scott). Everything goes south when Bryan discovers Lenore’s lifeless body. When the police arrive, they attempt to arrest Bryan, who resists arrest and heads out on the lam, finding shelter in his safe-house, taking it upon himself to find the real killer. Gun shots, ass-kicking, and car chases follow, leading to a look at Sam Spruell in his underwear doing battle with Neeson. We’re taken with Mr. Spruell!
