Legendary director Brian DePalma's film The Fury (1978) is one of his lesser-known works, but it's also one of his best. The horror thriller follows Peter (Kirk Douglas) a government agent whose son, Robin (Andrew Stevens), is kidnapped because he has psychic powers. The son is brought to a facility run by a deranged doctor, Ben Childress (John Cassavettes), who is planning to turn the boy and other young people with psychic powers into weapons to attack their enemies.  This is one of those movies that just works despite a ridiculous sounding premise, and it lives up to all the hype surrounding it. The one thing it could have used a little more of would be skin, though we do get a nice shot of both Kirk Douglas and Andrew Stevens in their bathing suits, showing off their manly physiques on the beach. These two dudes should put you into a fury!
