The Garden Left Behind (2019)

The Garden Left Behind (2019) is an indie drama from writer and director Flavio Alves that has received a lot of critical attention on the indie film festival circuit. Flavio co-wrote this gem of a movie with his writing partner John Rotondo. The Garden Left Behind even won the SXSW Audience Award.  The movie is about a Mexican trans woman who struggles juggling life and immigration in New York City where she lives with her grandmother. The two of them are undocumented immigrants trying to make it in America despite everything going on. Carlie Guevara plays the lead role, but she surrounds herself with some hot men. That is what we've learned about making it in America: meet hot American guys. Done and done! Alex Kruz plays Jason (okay, hot character name alert) hooks up with Carlie Guevara, the trans woman who stars in this movie, and he serves some hot looks that will leave you lusting over him.
