The Island (2023)

No one deals with the creeping dread of death into our everyday lives quite like the Scandinavians, and the short film The Island (2023) is proof positive. In this artsy black and white short, Nina (Nina Aboutajedyne) and Mathieu (Mathieu Perotto) are wrapping up their trip around the world by visiting a remote island with some of their friends to celebrate midsummer. What should be a time of revelry spent in the company of friends soon turns into an Ingmar Bergman-esque examination of the emptiness of the human condition. But it's not all doom and gloom! Ingmar Jõela shows off his ass while adding some water to the coals in a sauna, while he later joins co-stars Mathieu Perotto and El Mehdi Largo baring all as they go streaking through the woods! No man is an island, but we wouldn't mind be stuck on an island with these men!
