Based on the classic Booth Tarkington novel of the same name, The Magnificent Ambersons (2002) stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as George Amberson Minafer, the spoiled and unlikable rich college student that becomes upset when his recently widowed mother (Madeleine Stowe) rekindles her relationship with Eugene Morgan (Bruce Greenwood), a wealthy automobile manufacturer she left years earlier to marry George’s father. The angry son sets off to sabotage mom’s budding romance, while beginning one of his own with Eugene’s daughter Lucy (Gretchen Mol). As love plays out, George’s mischievous and bitter ways brings the once great family to financial ruin. There’s not much skin in this A&E film, but we get a distant look at Jonathan Rhys Meyers magnificent and positively supple posterior that’s sure to lead you to lustful ruin.
