Bobby (2006)

With a mix of authentic newsreel footage and dramatic sequences involving mostly fictional characters, Bobby (2006) is a period drama jammed with unwitting participants in the defining death of Bobby Kennedy. Taking place at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, the campaign headquarters of Kennedy’s presidential bid is the only constant in the film. Writer-director Emilio Estevez creates a revolving door of actors interacting in the hotel. Christian Slater is in charge of the hotel’s catering department, Jacoby Vargas and Freddy Rodriguez are part of the kitchen staff, Elijah Wood is a young dude desperate to avoid being drafted and sent to ‘Nam, Ashton Kutcher is a drug dealer, and Shia LaBeouf is a campaign volunteer. We volunteer to get a look at the Shia guy's seat meat, which you can see when he stands nude next to an undies-clad Brian Geraghty! Bobby will make you throbby!
