The New Barbarians (1983)

The New Barbarians (1983) is one of a handful of Italian Mad Max post-apocalyptic rip-offs that were so prominent in the early 80s. This one has been known by about a dozen different titles in the U.S. like Warriors of the Wasteland or the much wordier The New Barbarians: Warriors of the Wasteland. The film stars Blaxploitation legend Fred Williamson and Italian journeyman character actor Giancarlo Prete—appearing here under the Anglicized name Timothy Brent—as two wandering mercenaries who get mixed up in a battle between a wandering band of nomadic good guys and an evil motorcycle gang! Giancarlo Prete has two butt-baring nude scenes in the film, though both are shot in such a way as to suggest they might be the work of a body double with a great ass! There's also a nice look at the villainous Massimo Vanni lying dead in a hammock in nothing but his skivvies!
