The first and only of the ten and counting Halloween films to ditch Michael Meyers for a standalone story, Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) left early 80s audiences scratching their heads, but has found some defenders as of late to chime in with all those slasher craving detractors. This failed attempt at turning Halloween into a yearly anthology series concerns Dr. Daniel "Dan" Challis (Tom Atkins), and Ellie Grimbridge (Stacey Nelkin) uncovering a sinister plot by a small-town mask maker Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy). The crazy man wants to utilize an ancient Celtic ritual to kill millions of children on halloween night! Though Halloween III is not a slasher movie, Atkins still gets out of bed to investigate a strange noise in one scene. Some things never change. Thankfully for us, he is naked and gives us a nice look at his round rump as he slips into some slacks and walks to the door bare chested.
