The Tearsmith (2024)

The Tearsmith is a Netflix adaptation of the popular Italian YA novel, and delivers all of the softcore high school romance we've come to love and appreciate from such endeavors. Twilight, watch your back, because Nica (Caterina Ferioli) and Rigel (Simone Baldasseroni) are even more brooding than Bella and Edward. They play orphans in their late teens who are adopted out to a family. Nica and Rigel hail from the same orphanage but are not related. This is important! While at the orphanage both Nica and Rigel were inundated with a tale about a dark man with supernatural powers named the Tearsmith, and while Nica had written this off as nothing more than a kid's fairytale, she soon discovers that Rigel may just be more than an ordinary seventeen-year-old boy. We don't want to spoil any more of the fun, but we do want everyone to know that Simone Baldasseroni is quintessential YA leading man fodder. The man is simply stunning, and naturally The Tearsmith gives fans a handful of opportunities to enjoy his smooth and muscular body. The closest we get to nudity is an underwear crotch shot, but we'll take what we can get. Simone says, take off your clothes!
