The Tick (2017-2018)

One of the most annoying things about comic book adaptations is when TV executives decide that they'll change the character who devoted fans have loved for decades, into something totally different for no good reason. Well, in 2017 Amazon wasn't going to make that mistake. They hired Ben Edlund, the Boston cartoonist who invented The Tick to adapt his own comic book into their show, The Tick. The result? A show that was beloved by both critics and comic book fans alike, but only lasted two seasons before Amazon pulled the plug citing a lack of viewership. That sucks. Sad tick pun. What will go down as one of the best two season wonders of all time, the show centered around everyone's favorite blue hero, The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) who teams up with a mild-mannered accountant named Arthur (Griffin Newman) who recently discovered his superpowers in order to take down the city's evil villains. What's The Tick's backstory? He has no clue. He doesn't even know if his suit can come off, he's so obsessed with fighting bad guys! Eventually Arthur will realize that his dad was killed by The Terror (Jackie Earle Haley) and their quest for vengeance will really get going. Just like in the comic book. How authen-Tick! We love the Tick's skintight uniform, but Ryan Woodle gives us wood when his buns are visible in one tantalizing scene where he is nude, but his junk is blurred out. Later, he'll end up a giant and we'll see that booty bigger than you could imagine. Sure, it's not the tightest ass we've ever seen, but if you like your seat meat soft, it sure hits the spot! The gorgeous Griffin Newman also goes shirtless when he wears his boxers. That's a dang good body, on account of him having been an accountant for so many years! Those men on The Tick made us tickle the pickle!
