Thief of Hearts (1984)

Barbara Williams plays a bored, rich housewife whose hubby works so hard to surround her with material possessions that he neglects the one she needs most (hint: it's in his pants). Enter the hunky Steven Bauer as a brooding cat burglar who slips inside Barbara's mansion and, after cleaning the joint out, notices that the haul includes a journal of the lonely lady's deepest thoughts and desire. Oh, does this put the horny housebreaker into a position of power and, wow, does he use it. But instead of blackmail, Bauer opts to make all of Barbara's erotic fancies come steamily true. Thief of Hearts (1984) sounds like the stuff of cheap romance novels and late-night cable soft-porn and it is -- only slick and sexy and done right.
