Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms (1998)

Picking up where Universal Soldier (1992) left off, minus Jean-Claude Van Damme, Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms (1998) stars Matt Battaglia as the emotionless Luc Devereaux in the made-for-cable sequel. Fed up with the UniSol program, Luc, with the help of reporter Veronica Roberts (Chandra West), escapes to the family farm for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. All is well until an implanted chip in Luc’s leg is activated, forcing him to follow every command, which brings him back to base to be reprogrammed to do evil shit by a gang of mercenaries that have taken control of the UniSol program. Meanwhile, Veronica stumbles upon Luc’s brother Eric (Jeff Wincott), another soldier, kept in storage. When the reporter and the brother are captured, Luc must override his commands to save his brother, love interest, and the UniSol program. Battaglia and Wincott wind us up with quick glimpses of their government ordered glutes that will have you standing at attention.
