Crying Freeman (1995)

You may need a box of tissues while watching Crying Freeman (1995), not to be confused with the drama Cry Freedom (1987) starring Denzel Washington. Under the direction of Christophe Gans (who co-wrote the screenplay with Thierry Cazals), this skinternational flick is based on the same-named graphic novel by Kazuo Koike and Ryoichi Ikegami. The action movie stars Mark Dacascos as Yo Hinomura (also known as Crying Freeman), our sword-wielding and tear-jerking hero. Yes, Yo lets a few tears of regret roll down his face after each kill which makes him seem not-so ruthless after all. In fact, his execution of three Yakuza gangsters is so skillful, it impresses a beautiful artist named Emu O’Hara (Julie Condra) who witnesses the act. As such, she can’t help but fall in lust with him and both of his swords. Unlike her, the rest of the Yakuza seek vengeance against Yo. But this may prove to be their fatal mistake. There’s no mistake, of course, that Mr. Dacascos has a killer bod. Even though we never get to see his sex saber unsheathed, we do get a couple of good looks at his round tush. Mark flashes his abs and ass during a bedroom scene just 29 minutes into the flick. He proceeds to show off his panties a few minutes later. By the 00:56:28 and 01:01:06 marks, we can see the nude dude’s back and butt when he’s tied to a statue. In other words, he’s trussed up like a delicious turkey. How yummy!
