Review

Best friends Jack Linden (Mark Ruffalo) and Hank Evans (Peter Krause) are college professors on a small campus in Oregon; Jack is married to Terry (Laura Dern) and Hank to Edith (Naomi Watts). One evening at a get-together, with the alcohol running low, Jack goes on a beer run, joined by Edith. Wink. Wink. Terry knows that her hubby is also getting some pussy along with the beer, so she figures that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, and she in turn hooks up with Hank. It’s only a matter of time before all involved learn about their adulterous ways, each expressing varying reactions. While Terry wants to save her marriage, Jack is in love with Edith, but neither is willing to make that next step to the divorce attorney’s office. With all the fornicating going on, you’d figure there would be a lot of nudity. Right? Wrong. Get ready to get your fill of Mark Ruffalo lounging in bed with his shirt off. We love Mark, but the fact that he doesn’t show more skin really ruffles our feathers.
