Werewolf Rising (2014)

Chances are the members on audience members will be rising while watching Werewolf Rising (2014). With the ominously promising and spoiler-filled tagline “When the moon is full, the hunt begins”, this horror flick cuts right to the chase — or should we say, it cuts right to the hunt? Under the pen and direction of BC Furtney, the ferociously furry-filled film follows Emma (Melissa Carnell), a down home country girl looking to take a much needed break from her big city life. Needless to say, she wants to kick back and relax at her family’s cabin in the woods of Arkansas. But these hometown hills hide a hideous creature that gets hairy and hungry for flesh whenever the moon is full. As Emma reaches her highland hideaway and starts to settle in, she quickly learns that her rustic abode is surrounded by darkness and evil. In other words, a bloodthirsty and savage beast is ready to do her in. If that’s not perilous enough, there’s an escaped convict (Bill Oberst Jr.) on the loose. While the body count around Emma starts to add up, she must do her best to try and get out of Arkansas alive. Will she succeed or become werewolf feed? And, more importantly, will we catch any dudity? Fortunately, the latter answer is yes! The slender and sexy Johnny Lee (Matt Copko) shows off his bare back and full moon when he rushes into a laundromat to steal clothes. What’s your hurry, Matt? Let us enjoy the view!
