The sci-fi thriller What Happened to Monday (2017) imagines a world where overpopulation has become such an issue that a strict one child limit is placed on all families. The rule is simple: pop out a second kid and they're going to be put in cryosleep. Terrence Settman (Willem Dafoe) watched his daughter die while giving birth to identical septuplets (Naomi Rapace) and refused to see six of his grandbabies put into a permanent sleep. Instead, he decides to pull a The Prestige (2006) and force all seven kids to live life as one person. Each get to go out and experience life during one day of the week, thus they're named after the day of the week they're allowed to venture into the outside world, although the outside world knows them all as "Karen Settman." That sounds like a sweet deal for our girl Friday and a rough one for poor Monday, which might explain why one day when they're all adults, Monday disappears out of the blue. Tuesday figures out she was last seen with her coworker Jerry (Pal Sverre Hagen), only for the Child Allocation Bureau to burst into their home looking to lock the ladies up. Did Monday sell them out? It sure looks like it. Now, it's up to our calendar girls to figure out why! Mr. Man would like to spend seven days a week under the meaty rump of Marwan Kenzari! At one point in the movie, Marwan makes it hump day for some lucky lady as his buns do some thrusting on top of her. Now that looks like a fun day! What Happened to Monday? It looks like she had some mindblowing sex!
