Javier Bardem is the titular detective in the surrealist Spanish thriller The Detective and Death (1994). Before gritty fairy tale adaptations took over Hollywood, Spanish director Gonzalo Suarez read Hans Christian Anderson's fable "The Story of a Mother" and figured it'd make a great modern day crime flick. Essentially, the original fable is all about a mother whose child has been taken away by Death, who goes on the hunt to bring him back. In this adaptation, Bardem is The Detective, a dude who has been tasked by a rich geezer (Hector Alterio) with kidnapping his daughter's (Mapi Galan) mom (Charo Lopez). But since he's not sure The Detective will have the stones to get the job done, the old man has a mysterious dude (Carmelo Gomez) trail him along the way. Meanwhile, Maria (Maria de Medeiros) needs the old man's money to save her son, so she's also trailing The Detective to try and find where the rich but mysterious old man is hiding out. As a fairy who loves tale, Mr. Man is happy to tell you that this one's got some great male nudity! Before he was an Oscar winner and Bond villain, Javier Bardem was willing to go full frontal! Only twenty-five years old at the time, Javier was ripped back when he was filming this one. He had abs, pecs, and not an ounce of fat on him. But you probably didn't notice that, because you were too busy staring at his Spanish schlong! All is revealed when Javier emerges from the ocean completely naked, his stones and girthy sausage gently jiggling as he walks. Talk about a private dick! No wonder it wasn't long until he was making all sorts of waves in Hollywood. The Detective and Death will have you dying for more looks at Javier Bardem in the nude!
