Between Your Legs (1999)

In between the releases of the American romp Between the Lines (1977) and the British romance Between the Sheets (2003) came the Spanish thriller Between Your Legs (1999). In it, a radio station receptionist named Miranda (Victoria Abril) walks her pup every morning to run into random horn-dogs. Yes, she’s sleeping around despite the fact that she’s married to Félix (Carmelo Gómez). Ironically, he’s an investigator. In other words, “the cobbler’s children have no shoes.” Or, in this case, “the detective’s wife has no clothes on while she cheats on him.” When she encounters phone freak Javier (Javier Bardem) at a meeting for sex addicts, the two discover they have one thing in common: F U … N! Of course, their situation gets complicated when Javier finds out that his phone-sex conversations are being recorded, which leads to Félix finding out about his wife’s affair. Did we mention there’s also a murder? Needless to say, there’s a lot going on in this pic. Under the direction of Manuel Gómez Pereira, the movie includes Carmen Balagué, Javier Albalá, Juan Diego, Manuel Manquiña, María Adánez, and Sergi López’s hairy chest! As Claudio, the latter actor can be seen flashing his abs during a shower scene. If that doesn’t make you splash your pants, Mr. Bardem bares his wet pecs while soaking in a tub. Rub a dub dub! Also known as Entre las piernas, this skinternational flick features dialogue in Spanish. Yet whenever Javier and Sergi lose their tops, there’s no need to talk!
