The original Alien (1979) was a pretty simple story about a big creature killing the crew of a spaceship. As the decades past and film after film was released, things got more complicated. The lore really expanded when Ridley Scott returned to the franchise with 2012's Prometheus. But it wasn't until Alien: Covenant (2017) that the world finally came to understand what the facehuggers really were and how they came to be. The film kicks off ten years after Prometheus, in 2104 where the crew of the spaceship Covenant is chaperoning 200 colonists in cryogenic sleep to the distant planet Origae-6, where they hope to start a new world. The ship gets all messed up, so the android Walter (Michael Fassbender) has to wake them up to fix it. When they come across a formerly unknown paradise of sorts, though, they decide to detour (which is literally never a good idea, but I digress) to that uncharted planet and try and figure things out there. There they find the remains of the Prometheus crew, as well as the android David (Michael Fassbender). Also, there are tons of facehuggers on the planet who infect some of them. But it's not the aliens who are going to end up being the real big baddies of this flick! Watch for the wild ending that sets up all the movies that came before it, then go back and rewind to see when Michael Fassbender makes out with himself! What? Yes, it's wild. Now, if you've got two Fassbender's, which one stays on top and which one bends over? While you're pondering that one, there's also a scene where Jussie Smollett's character has some fun before the mayhem begins, nearly showing his plump (dare we say juicy?) ass in the shower while he has sex with a lucky lady! Who could stay mad at a man with an ass like that? Alien: Covenant will have you coveting those space travelers!
