Bruiser (2022)

Despite a title that may sound like it's about a boxer, Bruiser (2022) is a actually a tender coming of age drama. Darious (Jalyn Hall) is a rebellious fourteen year old whose strict parents Malcolm (Shamier Anderson) and Monica (Chinelle Azoroh) have done their best to impart their value system on their son. However, the older Darious gets, the more he realizes he doesn't share his parents' worldview, especially once he is taken under the wing of a charismatic drifter named Porter (Trevante Rhodes). As Darious and Porter get close, however, it threatens to expose a long buried secret within the family, one which accounts for a lot of the strange behavior of Darious' parents! Any chance to hang out in the shirtless company of Moonlight's Trevante Rhodes is a chance worth taking, so make sure you skip right to the 12 minute mark to see his phenomenally fit physique!
