Dark Match (2024)

Dark Match (2024) comes to us from WolfCop creator Lowell Dean, and sounds on the surface a little bit like Green Room (2016) set in the world of wrestling. Joe Lean (Steven Ogg) runs a small time independent wrestling circuit touring the rural American towns that don't get big time entertainment. When they get a lucrative offer to bring their show to a small backwoods town, it's too good to for them to pass up. Unfortunately, the town is run by a cult, whose charismatic figurehead is known only as Leader (former pro wrestler Chris Jericho), and he has some pretty devious designs on what kind of wrestling match this is going to be... dark, we're guessing! The real action in this flick is outside the ring, as nudecomer Troy Fyhn goes frontal while wearing only an open robe at a house party! Sounds like our kind of cult!
