Full Speed (1996)

The dark and somewhat depressing melodrama Full Speed (1996) follows the lives of four friends living in France. When one of their friends, Quentin (Pascal Cervo), embarks on a writing career, he begins to neglect the group. Meanwhile his girlfriend Julie (Èlodie Bouchez) is falling for best friend Jimmy. Add a happy dose of gay lust when a shy boy named Samir (Mezziane Bardadi), falls for Quentin and you've got a film. Yes, Full Speed is complex, but the acting and the subject matter ultimately smack of an authenticity rarely seen on the screen. You will definitely want to go full speed ahead to the steamy sex scene where Stephan Rideau shows off his handsome heine, because when it comes to Stephan's muffin, it's delicious!
