Him (2021)

Guillaume Canet directs himself in the thrilling French drama Him, or Lui in French. We can always judge a director by how nude he catches himself on camera, and thankfully Guillaume Canet requires Guillaume Canet to show off his ass and his balls. Oh, and Guillaume Canet is the film's screenwriter as well, so this was all his idea baby. So what is Him about? Canet plays a composer with writer's block who heads to an isolated abode in order to get some work done. But he soon receives strange visits not conducive to working. This mystery wrapped in a riddle isn't actually as confusing as it first seems. Him is really just all about the ass. And the balls. Guillaume Canet strips out of his boxers to join a couple in bed! He cups his crotch in a frontal shot but we still detected a ball slip elsewhere. Just call us Mr. Him!
