I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)

Secrets, even the darkest, direst ones, can be lived with, but only until someone who should be kept in the dark finds out all about them. The quartet of high-school innocents ruthlessly menaced throughout I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) are guilty of nothing beyond involuntary manslaughter, failure to report an injurious automobile accident, and obstruction of justice in disposing of an inconvenient corpse that they just happened to create due to reckless driving. Still, no one knows any of these compromising details other than the four kids themselves. If they can endure the judgment of their consciences, the quartet should be able to live more or less happily ever after. Except that some bummer of a boogeyman insists upon taunting them with hints of exposure and vengeance. Here’s a solid wager: Not all four conspirators will make it out of I Know What You Did Last Summer alive. There’s no nudity in this flick, but Ryan Phillippe in a towel is definitely worth a look.
