With his leading man looks, inherent charm, and sense of humor, Ken Marino was bound for stardom. After creating a sketch comedy crew while at NYU, after graduation the group appeared on Jon Stewart's You Wrote It, You Watch It, which eventually led to MTV giving them their own show called The State. When that one got canned, Ken kicked around the boob tube on stuff like Men Behaving Badly and First Years, as well as one offs on Angel, Will & Grace, and Spin City. Ken became a star when he teamed with a ton of comedy legends in the hilarious comedy Wet Hot American Summer (2001). As Victor Pulak, the curly haired hornball constantly chasing Abby, dudes were hot and bothered while the women were wet seeing him packing a prosthetic boner in his whitey tighties. Ken had a long run as the sexy English professor who ends up dating Joey, Professor David Wilder on Dawson's Creek, then wrote the screenplay for Paul Rudd's comedy Role Models (2008), before playing the recovering alcoholic caterer Ron Donald on the cult hit Party Down. He wrote Wanderlust (2012) for his bud Paul Rudd, then made us wonder what was behind a blur in the NBC sitcom Marry Me, when he went naked but network censors took away all the fun. We bet one look at Marino's marriage tackle and we'd know why his fiancé said yes. Probably becuase first, he had her saying yes, yes, yes! Ken fought with Kenny Powers as sports show host Guy Young on Eastbound & Down, then headed back to the summer camp scene in Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. While we saw him in a towel in that one, he wasn't pitching the same giant tent that he did in the original movie. A few years later, he went shirtless with suspenders in Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later, then had his shirt blown off in Masterminds (2016). Wish that explosion blew his pants off instead! He played the dad in Netflix's horror flick The Babysitter (2017) and was the private investigator whose privates we want to investigate, Vinnie Van Lowe on Veronica Mars, but most recently played both Lehman Brothers in Black Monday, and was part of an undie party as the music manager Streeter in the younger sibling becomes a world famous musician comedy The Other Two. Dan Marino's career was forever tainted by not winning a ring. Hopefully Ken Marino's career's not forever tainted by never showing his thing!
