Biography

Intense, Controversial, German, and regularly sexy in an odd way...  This man dug the well for perversity in film with his portrayal of crazed characters and for his famed temper which would often lead to genius and madness merging on set and captured on film.  Klaus Kinski was probably most famous for his collaborations with Werner Herzog, which lasted for over 15 years and ended with physical altercations and death threats between the two men; but in those years they created epic films such as Nosferatu the Vampyre, Aguirre, The Wrath of God, and Cobra Verde.

Klaus was raised in Berlin and eventually conscripted into the German army in 1943, was later captured by British troops, then held in a POW camp until the end of the war.  He began a career in films shortly thereafter.  With his intense and unique features, he was regularly cast as villainous freaks including "The Hunchback" in For a Few Dollars More opposite Clint Eastwood.

Often considered a tyrant on set, he either was considered ferociously talented or ferociously mean to the people he worked with.  His look was undeniable though, having the big blue eyes and solid jawline, he carried a level of ugly sexiness with him into most projects he worked on, no matter how difficult he was to work with.  He made his Nude-Comer debut to us later in life with 1989's Paganini where he shows us those German dumplings while screwing a girl in bed.

As polarizing as Klaus Kinski is considered, he definitely falls into the category of "ugly hot" as some of the greats like Mick Jagger or Adam Driver.
