Straight out of the heart of Michigan, the Grand Rapids-born hunk Matt Keeslar has flawlessly brought his Midwestern charm to Hollywood, making believers out of doubters, and haters into lovers. The Juilliard-trained actor proved there are no such things as small parts when he earned bit roles in the hit films Renaissance Man (1994), Quiz Show (1994), and The Stupids (1996). Matt rocked those projects, but it was his part as Danny in the romantic drama The Run of the Country (1995) that gave us our first tease of skin, in an odd tarred-and-feathered scene. The steamy comedy Splendor (1999) was more tease than please again, with Matt only showing his butt crack and bare chest during a threesome. Though a wasted opportunity in Mr. Man’s opinion, the world only had to wait until the 2000 fantasy mini-series Dune to get a better peep at Matt’s fine physique, including his ripe rump, when he played Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. And during the gritty drama Urbania (2000), Matt teased a little more ass as Chris during a moment of same-sex loving. Elsewhere on TV, you may recognize Matt from his role as The Middleman in the series of the same name in 2008, and in pop-ups in Ghost Whisperer, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Numb3rs, Leverage, and Grimm. If you’re looking for recent projects to see Matt in, you’ll have to make a doctor’s appointment in Oregon, or enter medical school. After graduating from Reed College with a degree in biology in 2014 (his senior thesis was “Effects of Antimalarial Drugs on the Vocal Central Pattern Generator in the Frog, Xenopus laevis”), he moved to Oregon and became a physician’s assistant, with a side gig as an instructor of urology at Oregon Health & Science University.
