Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)

Without Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) the word “Brangelina” would never have been formed. Yes, this is the infamous flick that ignited the tryst between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the divorce between Brad and Jennifer Anniston, the subsequent children and marriage of Pitt and Jolie, and their eventual divorce. But before all of this occurred, the two played a seemingly innocuous married couple with generic names. John (Pitt) and Jane (Jolie) Smith have a painfully boring marriage and frequently find themselves arguing in front of their perplexed marriage counselor — until they discover they’re both highly-skilled assassins on a mission to kill the same target. But when their respective agencies find out, they become each other’s next targets. In other words, the two engage in a massive shootout in their own home! Surprisingly, the gunfire proves to be a powerful turn on for the lethal spouses. As such, they end up making love not war. Since the Mr. and Mrs. are now experiencing marital bliss, they decide not to murder each other after all. But just when you thought there’d be a happy ending, a new twist is introduced into the story: their agencies now want to whack them off (and not in a good way). Of course, this couple is already dead … sexy! In fact, the luscious leading man isn’t shy about flashing his abs! No wonder, Amazon Prime turned this pic into a same-named streaming series in 2024.
