The Island (2005)

The Island (2005) is primarily known for two things: Being the lowest grossing movie of Michael Bay's entire directing career and for ripping off, almost wholesale, the movie Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979), famously featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Set in a distant, dystopian future, the film centers around Lincoln (Ewan McGregor), a man working in what amounts to a high tech labor camp who dreams of one day escaping to the titular paradise. Unfortunately for him, he's actually a clone of wealthy man who will eventually mine him for parts to keep living. Lincoln then teams up with his crush Jordan (Scarlett Johansson) to escape their indentured servitude and find out if there really is an Island out there somewhere. Ewan McGregor is briefly shirtless in the flick, but much like the rest of the world, you can go ahead and skip this flick and find his sexier stuff elsewhere on our site!
