Ballistica (2009)

Ballistica (2009), is not just a clever name for an action movie... No, no, no...  Ballistica is actually the deadly art of combining martial arts and hand-to-hand combat skills with handguns and weaponry to become the deadliest combatant the world has ever seen!  Or so this 2009 action joint tells us when the sexy and ever so deadly CIA assassin, Damian Sloan (Paul Logan), shares in a moment of exposition with his new lady friend (CB Ferrari), who needs him for protection from a group of renegade international terrorists that now have access to a new bomb that vaporizes people at the molecular level!  With a beyond impressive and heavy hitting cast of 80s bad guys like Martin Kove from The Karate Kid (1984), Robert Davi from The Goonies (1985) and Showgirls (1995), and Andrew Divoff from Wishmaster (1997) and Toy Soldiers (1991), we honestly didn't even know these three guys could be in the same movie without the triggering of some kind of nuclear fission of bad guy nostalgia that would be equal to the deadly bomb depicted in the film itself!  But here we are!  It must be because of the mega-hot countering by Paul Logan's oiled up shirtless torso that could be what brings them down, or maybe it's his mastering of Ballistica...  WE DON'T KNOW!  You're going to have to watch to find out what happens to this rogue widower CIA agent, his new lady friend, and his mastery of the art of handgun karate versus the three headed monster of the greatest assembly of nostalgic bad guys on film, possibly ever!
