Who are you gonna call when some blood thirsty Apache's kidnap the young and innocent Evan Rachel Wood???  Well of course you call two Academy Award winners to help hunt down the bad guys, with Cate Blanchett playing her mom and Tommy Lee Jones playing her estranged grandpa.  This old west feature directed by the great Ron Howard drops us into the unflinching and violent world of New Mexico in 1885, where Cate Blanchett plays a medicine woman who is raising her two daughters on the frontier, when out of nowhere her absentee father, Tommy Lee Jones, drops back into her life.  While they argue and she kicks him out, her daughters go into town but one of them is kidnapped along the way, so Cate is reluctantly forced to ask for help from Tommy Lee, who is an expert tracker and overall bad ass, with his classic grumpy demeanor.  The bad guys are no joke in this one either, as they are trying to sell a group of young girls into sexual slavery in Old Mexico, so they are running against time before these bad guys make it across the border and they never see their kid again.  There is some limited sexy times in this one as it's pretty heavy content and more blood and gore, but we do get to see venerable character actor Sergio Calderón in the buff as a bloodied body in the forrest floor, and we also see Simon Baker (not that one!) with no shirt on while Cate stitches up a gunshot wound on him.  This classic western doesn't pull any punches on the hardcore violence, so definitely avert your eyes, because even though it has Val Kilmer and Aaron Eckhart in featured roles, neither shed a single layer for us!
