Predestination (2014)

To save the future he must reshape the past, so says the tagline for the sci-fi drama Predestination (2014). Ethan Hawke stars as something called a Temporal Agent, one of many individuals working for the Temporal Bureau that is sent on time-travelling journeys in order to prevent horrible crimes before they occur. Hawke’s character is tasked with disarming some deadly explosives set by the Fizzle Bomber, a terrorist wreaking havoc on 1970s New York. Well, Fizzle’s pyrotechnics goes off in the agent’s face, severely burning and disfiguring him. After extensive plastic surgery, Hawke is still determined to capture his adversary, so he heads back to 1960s New York, disguises himself as a bartender and eventually strikes up some chit-chat with an androgynous-looking person called “The Unmarried Mother” (Sarah Snook), who tells him a remarkable story involving pregnancy, intersex children, kidnapping, Cleveland, and something about an organization called Space Corps. Along the way, Matthew Goldsworthy teams up with Sarah Snook to provide the peen to her intersex physique. Color Mr. Man intrigued!
