Rutger Hauer is tall, blonde, blue eyed, tanned, and he has leading man good looks, so it’s only natural that he picked acting as a profession. Maybe it’s the other way around—acting chose him. The Netherlands-born hunk has been such a fixture in Hollywood that he is almost as prevalent as the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer lion on the silver screen. What’s even greater is that Rutger has never shied away from embracing nude roles. In fact, his first big screen role in the romantic drama Turkish Delight (1973)—or Turks fruit, as some call it—was highlighted by the Dutchman’s complete nudity through most of the flick, further punctuated by multiple looks at his impressive peen. Now that’s a jerk-ish delight! The Paul Verhoeven-directed period romance Keetje Tippel (1975) provided fans with another shot of his flopping penis, earning him the title “The Flopping Dutchman”! The World War II-based drama Soldier of Orange (1977) gave us a glance of Rutger’s slender physique as he slathers a yellow-like substance on his smooth and chiseled frame. Need a hand, Mr. Hauer? The drama Mysteries (1978), based on a Knut Hamsun novel, teased some flesh, as did the thrillers Eureka (1983) and Flesh + Blood (1985). The 1993 boob tube flick Blind Side provided us with Rutger’s last nude appearance, giving us some distant but satisfying looks at his hind during a steamy moment of intercourse. Even though Rutger continues to heat up Hollywood with his beautiful smile and good looks, he has allowed modesty to get the best of him. But dressed or undressed, Rutger is still a sight to behold!
