Sanditon (2019-2022)

Debuting in 2019, PBS' period piece Sanditon is based off of an unfinished, unpublished Jane Austen novel. Sort of. See, the show's creator, Andrew Davies, admitted that by the time the first episode was over he'd used every bit of the eleven chapters Austen had written. From there, the story was all him. Set in the early 1800's, the series follows Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams). She's a quirky girl living in the sticks who helps out a couple (Kris Marshall and Kate Ashfield) after their carriage tips over. As a "thank you" she is invited to stay with them in Sanditon, the small fishing village they're convinced is going to be the hot new vacation spot. She takes the offer and heads to the coast, where she runs into her new biracial bestie Georgiana (Crystal Clarke). But Jane Austen didn't get so big writing about female friendship, she got big by crafting romances. True to her legacy, Davies made sure this one's got plenty of hot dudes for Miss Heywood to choose from. In season two a bunch of soldiers show up, and a few catch Charlotte's sister Alison's (Rosie Graham) eye. Meanwhile, poor Mr. Colbourne (Ben Lloyd-Hughes) is a sexy widower who hires Charlotte to look after his children, who she comes to adore. Need we say more? Of course, to keep things interesting there's a sort of bad boy (Theo James) who she just can't stand but is oh so sexy and a farm boy back home (Cai Brigden) who doesn't do it for her but is there if she wants to tell the dudes of Sanditon to pound sand. Lasting three seasons, the show was full of romance and intrigue, as well as a decent amount of business drama centered around the beach resort finally hitting it big. Mr. Man's happy to report that they must at least consider making the beach a nude one, because we get an amazing scene where the husky Turlough Convery, the lean Kris Marshall, and the jacked Leo Suter all get naked and walk to the water. Our bloomers were rather soggy as we watched those fine asses stroll towards the water to go for a swim. We'd be happy to get naked with him, him or him! Both Frank Blake and Maxim Ays show their abs when they take a break from fighting for the Queen to test out their skills under the rules of Queensberry by doing some bareknuckle boxing. But you just can't compete with Theo James. The White Lotus star had us lusting after his white buns when he's hanging out naked on the shore, and some women is shocked to stumble upon him. We get the back view, but we want more! Sex on the Beach is more than just a drink, people! Sanditon will make you one-hand it a ton!
