Severance (2006)

Director Christopher Smith's Severance is a boffo blast of fresh bloody air as it invigorates a seemingly typical slasher-flick set-up with wit and imagination—while being sure not to skimp on blood and sex. The European sales department of an international arms supplier is sent on a team-building exercise in the Hungarian wilderness. Upon arriving at what the members thought would be a swanky lodge, they find themselves stuck in a rundown hellhole. To pass the time, various stories are concocted about what the place might have been, which we see played out most engagingly on the screen, but the cast's fun is interrupted by a killer.
