Shot in France, Switzerland, Italy, and Poland, Sotto falso nome (Strange Crime, 2004) is an international arthouse film about betrayal, intrigue and desire. A French-Polish writer (Daniel Auteuil) travels to Italy for his son’s wedding. During his travels he meets a beautiful woman (Anna Mouglalis), and they have a whirlwind affair. All is well until the writer discovers he and his son have very similar taste in women -- the woman he meets while traveling is also the woman his son is set to marry. Throw some later blackmail into the mix, and the writer should have maybe just stayed home. Auteuil shows off some middle-aged hotness in this movie, even flashing lots of skin during some adventurous scenes with Mouglalis. And, you won’t want to miss Giorgio Lupano -- during several steamy love scenes, and one thankfully well-lit pool scene, the Italian hottie bares it all, from plump rump to fleshy breadstick.
