In 2015 NBC took a look at all the wild telenovelas on Latin American TV and figured there was no way all the drama happening behind the scenes wasn't just as interesting as the scripted stuff. The show they came up with was Telenovela, a sitcom that takes place behind the scenes of a Latino soap opera called Las Leyes de Pasion. Eva Longoria is Ana Sofia, the fake show's star, despite not actually being able to speak Spanish. Her show used to be a big hit, but the new head of the network (Zachary Levi) thinks the ratings would really kick up a notch if they cast her ex-husband Xavier (Jencarlos Canela) on the show as a bit of a ratings stunt. Throw in the show's former sex symbol Isabela (Alex Meneses) who has hit the age where she's stuck playing mom roles and isn't happy about it, and the lothario figure Gael (Jose Moreno Brooks) who is secretly gay but whose job security depends on him selling how much he loves having sex with Ana, and there was nonstop backstage drama to mine for comedy on this one. But speaking of one, that's how many seasons NBC gave the show before pulling the plug despite critics thinking it was really funny. If you're like Mr. Man aka a don't ask don't tella kinda fella, you'll be happy to know Telenovela introduces us to a slew of relatively unknown actors that are now able to get some prime-time attention. If you believe that drama is indeed for your mama and are instead interested in man meat, look no further than Telenovela’s gorgeous guys Jose Moreno Brooks and Amaury Nolasco. Jose can hardly keep his shirt on, giving us ample looks at has amazing abs. Amaury canoodles with a chick in bed sans shirt, giving Jose a run for his money. Maybe someday the two men will get escándalo together! Peter Porte is a classic, lean bodied babe while Juan Carlos Cantu is a bit portlier, and way hairier than you're probably used to lusting over. Don't confuse him with Jencarlos Canela, the classically handsome fella we see in his bathing suit. Dios mio did my D swella to Telenovela!
