The Forty-Year-Old-Version (2020) is an indie drama shot in black-and-white from Radha Blank who wrote, directed, and stars as a down-on-her-luck playwright in New York City who wants to be successful, but just can simply not catch a break. She wants to "make it" before she turns 40 and that birthday is fast approaching. She decides to try something drastic. She reinvents herself completely as a rapper named RadhaMUSPrime. Now she is finding her voice in the hip hop scene and seeing the similarities and differences between hip hop and theater. It's somewhere in the middle, where these worlds and her personas meet, that she finally finds her true passion and real voice. It's better now than never! The Forty-Year-Old-Version shows us that it is never too late to reinvent yourself and to step into the person you are truly meant to be. That being said, we also get to become people who get to admire a hunk like Peter Y. Kim who plays Archie. As Archie, he has a moment in which his balls come out of his pants. The balls look hairy as we see a quick flash of balls being played with as they pop out of unzipped pants. These are clearly not Peter's actual balls. They are a prosthetic pair. Not even a body double. Damnit. We hope that eventually Peter will unzip his real pants and pull out his real balls so we can see forĀ ourselves.
